Geothermal Desalination

Renewable Energy Desalination Unit

We’re excited to share some news regarding a new technology start-up that we’ve been heavily involved with since the beginning.  Our work with JRG Energy is where this all began.

Over the past few years, we began to see the inevitable collision between climate change, growing populations, food scarcity, energy independence, and expanding water-stressed regions.

We started looking at ways in which we could leverage existing assets, utilize waste heat, generate renewable power and provide clean water as a byproduct to neighboring communities or industries.

There are many different commercially viable technologies today that can provide power generation, or distill water, or store energy, but very few that combine renewable power generation, energy storage, and water distillation. There are even fewer that provide a modular solution ideal for remote and rural communities.

This demand and line of thinking led to the formation of Magnuvis.  Magnuvis means “a greater power” and we believe our modular technology addresses the global climate’s most dire challenges head-on.
