The 2018 German Geothermal Congress DGK just concluded at the ‘Haus der Technik’ in Essen (November 27th to 29th). It was hosted by the German Geothermal Association (BVG) and proved to be one of the most important geothermal conferences of the year covering scientific and technological advancements for the industry. More than 100 technical presentations were shared across a range of geothermal topics and technologies on shallow and deep geothermal energy.

One such conclusion the GeoWell Consortium took from the Congress was that current standards for drilling, completion and geothermal fluid production from high-temperature wells are being lifted to 500°C. Geo Facts and Stats 11 - GeoWell Consortium
